Introducing Twin Corpora of Decisions for the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the Permanent Court of International Justice (PCIJ)

In this article I present the first two of a new series open and high-quality international legal data sets: comprehensive, fully reproducible, human- machine-readable access collections covering one hundred years case law primary judicial organs United Nations League Nations: Corpus Decisions: International Court Justice (CD-ICJ) Permanent (CD-PCIJ). Each corpus is designed to capture in its entirety published eponymous Court, including majority opinions (judgments, advisory orders), but also minority annexed each decision (declarations, separate dissenting opinions). The corpora are enriched with useful metadata enhance text-as-data research enable stand-alone analyses. While can stand on own, twin be perfectly interoperable for purposes analyses that wish treat ICJ PCIJ as continuous entity. most recent versions will always available at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3826444 https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3840479
